We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our Nashville, Tennessee team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, which is essential for efficient logistics and operations. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, performing physical inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to prevent stock loss and inaccuracies. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse systems is required. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations teams to ensure that inventory is accurately tracked from arrival to departure. This position requires a keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all company policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss and errors.
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports on stock levels, turnover, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing inventory transactions for accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with training warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
