We are looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our bustling warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. As an Order Picker, you will be the first line in ensuring our customers receive the correct items. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or scanning devices, prepare them for shipment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. We emphasize a safe and productive work environment, requiring all team members to adhere to strict safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product details against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Package items carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in your assigned picking and packing areas.
- Comply with all company safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity targets.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory or orders to your supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support logistics flow.
- Participate in inventory counts when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs and apply safe lifting techniques.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe workplace and following all PPE requirements.
