In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, supporting both inventory management and outbound shipping processes. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to receive, store, pick, and dispatch goods. We are seeking individuals with a proven track record of safe operation, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of PPE. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
- Accurately store and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Prepare and stage materials for shipping or internal transfers.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Adhere to all established safety rules and company policies.
- Consistently use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse setting is required.
- Certification or proven ability to operate forklifts and other MHE.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory control.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe workplace and using PPE.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
