Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and document all outgoing shipments.
- Generate and apply shipping labels and customs documentation.
- Verify order contents against shipping manifests and packing lists.
- Coordinate pickup schedules with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping logs and records.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing packages.
- Assist in managing warehouse inventory as it pertains to shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and PPE usage.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
