Job Summary:
Our dynamic logistics company in Houston, Texas is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that all stock is accounted for, organized, and readily available for order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of warehouse operations and safety. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing inventory control procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure efficient operations.
  • Track and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in training new team members on inventory control best practices.
  • This role may involve moderate Lifting requirements, up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with Safety protocols and adherence.
