Operate our state-of-the-art equipment as a Forklift Operator in sunny Miami, Florida. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and relocating inventory with precision and care. Safety is our utmost priority, and strict adherence to all operating procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position involves regular and significant Lifting, both directly and indirectly through equipment operation, and is a cornerstone of our Logistics operations. A strong commitment to Safety protocols is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
- Follow all Safety regulations and guidelines for forklift operation.
- Assist with inventory management, including organizing stock and participating in cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against documentation.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring they are properly staged and ready for transport.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational needs.
- Adhere to all company policies related to workplace Safety and operational efficiency within the Logistics chain.
The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts. You must have a keen eye for detail, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
