We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy San Francisco, California warehouse. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within our facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload freight from trailers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to identify and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations for aisle clearance and dock safety.
- Accurately record all inventory movements using RF scanners or other designated systems.
- Comply with all company Safety policies and procedures, including strict adherence to all PPE requirements.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as order picking or put-away, as needed.
- Support inventory control initiatives through accurate material handling.
- Understand and implement safe Lifting practices when necessary, even with equipment.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental goals within our logistics framework.
The ideal candidate must possess a valid forklift certification and a minimum of one year of recent forklift operating experience. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is essential. This role requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes demanding environment.
