We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all warehouse equipment and machinery. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub, contributing directly to our company's success. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Your daily tasks will involve using various hand and power tools, interpreting technical manuals, and maintaining accurate maintenance logs. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE . This role involves regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and requires physical stamina. Familiarity with warehouse operations and the broader logistics industry is a significant advantage. You will play a key part in upholding our high standards of operational efficiency and safety .
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (conveyors, forklifts, automated systems).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and the work environment.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Collaborate with operations teams to schedule maintenance and minimize disruptions.
- Respond to urgent repair requests to ensure operational continuity.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements for each task.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on new technologies and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Awareness of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace safety .
- Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Must be able to wear required PPE .
