We are actively seeking a motivated Picker/Packer to join our busy warehouse facility in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is central to our fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipping. Your day-to-day activities will involve identifying and retrieving products from warehouse shelves and then meticulously packing them into shipments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced setting. Success in this role contributes directly to the efficiency of our logistics operations and overall customer satisfaction. This position requires the ability to handle physical tasks, including frequent lifting and moving of items. Adherence to safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick required items from warehouse stock based on order forms or electronic devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order specifications.
- Select suitable packing materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Pack orders neatly, efficiently, and according to established quality standards.
- Apply correct shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Stage outgoing orders in designated areas for carrier pickup.
- Keep the workstation and surrounding areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate manual warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals within the logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in a picking, packing, or order fulfillment role is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform regular lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
- Strong commitment to safety and proper PPE use.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse logistics is a plus.
