This role can be based from any of our regional offices across England and Scotland with required travel to relevant projects.
Due to the nature of our projects, we require individuals to hold full work rights within the UK, coupled with being eligible for SC level Security Clearance.
What you’ll be doing
Create electrical designs and procure specialist packages in heavy industries.
Design LV electrical distribution systems.
Create specifications & datasheets, cable calculations & schedules, and drawing documentation via the CAD team.
Review and check manufacturer documents for compliance with project specifications.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers.
Who we’re looking for Qualities and Experience
Proficient in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with designers and project teams to deliver cost‑effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design.
Desirable IT skills.
Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
Detailed knowledge of codes of practice and regulatory material.
Experience in heavy industries such as petrochemical, power generation, renewables and nuclear.
Beneficial Experience
Design of HV electrical systems.
Use of AutoCAD and/or Revit software.
Use of Dialux or Relux software.
Use of SKM, ETAP, Digsilent, PSCAD software.
Design of ATEX systems.
