Our dynamic logistics company in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, while strictly adhering to all safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials from receiving to storage, and from storage to shipping.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Perform pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adhere to all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed, including sweeping, tidying, and organizing.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, with valid certification.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management principles.
- Must be reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
