About the Role We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic security team. This entry‑level role is designed for recent graduates or those with a foundational understanding of cyber security principles who are eager to develop their skills in a real‑world environment. As a Graduate Cyber Security Analyst, you will work closely with experienced security professionals on a variety of projects aimed at safeguarding organizational systems and data. You will be involved in monitoring security threats, responding to incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting compliance initiatives. Qualifications
A recent or upcoming graduate in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security, Networking, or a related discipline.
A strong interest in cyber security and a desire to develop a professional career in the field.
Basic understanding of cyber threats, security principles, and best practices.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as networking concepts.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
Additional desirable qualifications include personal or academic experience with penetration testing, malware analysis, scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and familiarity with security frameworks or certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and responding to security threats by identifying suspicious activities and assisting in incident response efforts.
Gaining practical experience with security tools such as firewalls, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel), endpoint protection solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
Conducting vulnerability assessments by running scans to identify system weaknesses and recommending remediation strategies.
Supporting the organization’s compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to security standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and Cyber Essentials.
Participating in internal security awareness campaigns and training initiatives to promote best practices among staff.
Assisting in the investigation and documentation of cyber incidents, including root cause analysis.
Staying updated on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends through continuous learning and research.
