Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a highly respected law firm seeking a Development (Plot Sales) Fee Earner to join their specialist team in Gloucester. This is a rare opportunity to work with national developer clients on high-quality residential development matters, in a friendly and well-established team.
The Role This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a wide range of residential development work. Responsibilities include:
Handling site set-up of new development sites (training provided)
Drafting contracts, transfers, and leases for plot sales
Managing part-exchange and resale transactions
Responding to enquiries from buyers' legal representatives
Reporting to clients on part-exchange properties
Managing exchange and completion of sales and purchases
Submitting SDLT returns and overseeing registrations
Supervising junior staff and supporting team operations
Liaising with statutory authorities on infrastructure agreements
Supporting the department's billing targets and client relationships
Candidate Requirements This role is suited to a Solicitor or Legal Executive with:
NQ to 2 years PQE (property experience required; development experience not essential)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage client relationships and work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
Familiarity with ICT systems and legal platforms
Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
