We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator at our Boise, Idaho facility. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of industrial trucks to move materials, products, and inventory throughout the warehouse. Accuracy, speed, and an unwavering commitment to safety are critical. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and inventory teams to ensure seamless logistics operations. This position offers the chance to be a vital part of our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, order picker) to move palletized loads.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and processing areas.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any malfunctions or damage.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all warehouse procedures.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and government regulations.
- Properly utilize all mandated PPE .
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills is a plus.
- Proficient in navigating warehouse environments and understanding logistics flow.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged standing/walking.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and risk mitigation.
- Excellent attention to detail and operational awareness.
- Must consistently wear and maintain required PPE .
