We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Omaha, Nebraska location. This role is critical for optimizing our warehouse operations and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, investigating stock issues, and implementing procedures to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. You will work closely with the warehouse team and management to ensure that inventory data is precise and up-to-date. A commitment to safety is essential, including proper handling of materials and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. This position requires proficiency in using inventory management software and reporting tools. Your accuracy and diligence are key to our operational success and cost control. We value proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement in our logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management software and WMS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of logistics operations.
- Must wear required PPE.
