In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials throughout our warehouse. You will also be responsible for performing routine checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order and reporting any maintenance needs. Proper lifting techniques and awareness of your surroundings are essential. Your role directly impacts the smooth flow of goods and ensures operational efficiency. Experience with various types of forklifts and attachments is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Follow all traffic patterns and safety guidelines within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
