We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery. Your proactive approach to identifying and resolving mechanical issues will be critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. This position demands a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to adhering to all safety protocols. You will also assist with inventory management tasks, ensuring accuracy and organization within the warehouse. A key aspect of this role involves conducting regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implementing corrective actions. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your well-being. The ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting is essential, as you may need to move components or assist in larger repair jobs. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Operate various tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Assist with other warehouse operations as needed, including material handling.
- Adhere to strict Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Must be comfortable with regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
