We are hiring Picker/Packers for our expanding warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment for our diverse customer base. You will be responsible for selecting items from inventory, ensuring order accuracy, and preparing goods for shipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and possesses strong attention to detail. You will play a direct role in our logistics process, impacting customer satisfaction through your efficiency and accuracy. Maintaining a safe and orderly workspace is a key expectation.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order lists and scan items into the system.
- Pack merchandise securely and appropriately for transit.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the picking and packing stations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in picking and packing is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic logistics.
- Strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
