We are looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our busy warehouse in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position requires speed, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail. You will play a vital part in our logistics chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is key, as is a commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Your contribution is crucial to our fulfillment operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products according to order tickets.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify item quantities and product codes.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to efficient logistics by meeting picking and packing quotas.
- Be comfortable with lifting up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous picking and packing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
