We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Distribution Center Associates in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our logistics hub. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks such as receiving and unloading incoming products, accurately stocking shelves, picking and packing customer orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. A commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork is essential. Safety is a top priority, and all associates are required to wear and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all established safety protocols. This position requires physical stamina, including regular lifting and moving of goods, so candidates must be capable of performing these tasks safely and efficiently, using proper lifting techniques. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring that products move smoothly through our facility and reach their intended destinations. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming inventory accurately.
- Stock merchandise onto shelves and designated storage areas.
- Pick items for customer orders based on order sheets or electronic devices.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Lift and move products as needed, using proper lifting techniques.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or safety concerns to supervision.
- Participate in team efforts to meet daily operational goals.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for an entire shift.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
