Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and identifying areas for improvement in inventory management processes. You will work closely with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales departments to ensure stock levels are accurate and optimize stock rotation. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. This position requires a commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to manage stock flow and prevent loss.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Manage and oversee the use of appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Participate in training sessions related to inventory management and safety protocols.
