Join our bustling logistics hub as a Receiving Clerk in Chicago, Illinois! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage the incoming flow of goods into our warehouse. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments, ensuring they align with purchase orders and are properly documented. Your work is vital to maintaining accurate inventory and facilitating smooth Logistics operations. You will be the first point of contact for many deliveries, so a professional and efficient approach is key. We maintain a strong focus on Safety , and adherence to all safety procedures and the use of appropriate PPE is mandatory. This position involves some physical work, including Lifting and moving of packages and boxes. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and document any issues.
- Process received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label merchandise for storage or distribution.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and files.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and safe, following all Safety guidelines.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support Logistics .
