We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our growing warehouse team in Huntsville, Alabama. This critical position ensures that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and stored properly, forming the foundation of our inventory management system. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving process. You will play a key role in our supply chain, working closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods.
- Document all discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Enter received goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE .
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as needed and certified.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with WMS is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE .
