We are hiring a dedicated Order Picker for our St. Louis, Missouri distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders, ensuring that the right products are selected and prepared for shipment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of operational excellence and safety. You will work closely with the shipping department to fulfill orders accurately and on time. A positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Your role is fundamental to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or scanner.
- Verify product information and quantities before placing items in designated staging areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as stocking or relabeling.
- Ensure all picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Meet daily picking quotas while maintaining accuracy.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including repetitive motions and significant Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE at all times.
