Join our fast-paced logistics operation as a Material Handler in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our distribution center. You will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing materials for distribution, as well as moving inventory to and from various warehouse locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and possess a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on time. This position requires a commitment to safety and the ability to follow instructions precisely. We value teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your contributions will directly support our supply chain operations. Experience with pallet jacks and hand trucks is beneficial. We are dedicated to fostering a safe and productive working environment. The ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic logistics setting is important.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials.
- Sort and organize materials for storage or further processing.
- Transport materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Stage materials for shipping or production.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Physical ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse flow.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
