We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is central to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload shipments, transport materials within the facility, and assist with inventory organization. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all operators must strictly adhere to company policies, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The successful candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience in a similar role. Excellent operational skills, combined with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety, are essential. You should be physically fit and capable of handling the demands of the job, including lifting. This role provides an excellent opportunity to be a key contributor to our logistics operations and grow professionally. You will work collaboratively with other team members to maintain workflow efficiency and support overall warehouse productivity. - Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Transport inventory to and from designated staging and storage areas.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock placement.
- Inspect equipment daily and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from obstructions.
- Follow all safety procedures, including correct lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current, valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Good physical condition and the ability to perform demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and wear PPE.
