Our Miami, Florida location is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and a strong understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. You will work with warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and ensure data accuracy. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to optimizing inventory processes. We emphasize a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Your role in maintaining accurate inventory directly impacts our ability to fulfill orders efficiently and reduces waste. You will collaborate with various departments, including operations and purchasing, to ensure smooth inventory flow. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role, as you will identify opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency. - Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and recommend adjustments to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting and handling of goods.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
