Our Indianapolis, Indiana facility is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our fast-paced Logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise in our warehouse. This role is critical for the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center. You will operate powered industrial trucks to transport materials from receiving or storage areas to designated locations, ensuring that inventory is handled with care and precision. A strong focus on Safety, adherence to operational procedures, and proficiency in forklift operation are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Safely transport products between various warehouse locations.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after use.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes as needed.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall warehouse efficiency and contribute to team goals.
Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. A valid forklift certification is required. The ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting, and to work in a dynamic Logistics setting is necessary. Excellent hand-eye coordination and a strong awareness of surroundings are crucial for Safety. This position requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
