We are hiring a skilled Shipping Clerk for our busy logistics facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be instrumental in managing the outbound flow of products, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in every shipment. Your duties will involve preparing orders for shipment, verifying shipping information, packaging items securely, and coordinating with freight carriers. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of shipping procedures and logistics. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations and uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction. Your dedication to quality control and safety will be essential to your success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and prepare all outgoing shipments.
- Verify order details against shipping documentation and customer orders.
- Package products securely and appropriately for transit, ensuring product protection.
- Generate shipping labels and create necessary shipping manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments before they leave the facility.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shipping department.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
- Must be able to perform lifting of packages up to 50 pounds regularly.
Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is required. Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals. Strong understanding of shipping documentation and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. A commitment to safety and operational excellence is expected. We are focused on creating a secure and efficient working environment for all our logistics personnel.
