We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position is critical for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, directly supporting our complex logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with proven experience in maintaining and repairing a wide array of warehouse machinery. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, implementing preventative maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Install new equipment and assist with system upgrades as needed.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse environment and equipment.
- Provide technical support to the logistics and operations teams.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Stay updated on best practices in warehouse technology and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade school education preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, particularly in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex machinery.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations relevant to warehouse operations.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Must be capable of moderate Lifting and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
