This role involves significant physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting, so proficiency in proper lifting techniques is essential to prevent injuries. You'll be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to the seamless flow of goods from our warehouse to our customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Use RF scanners or other devices to track picked items.
- Verify picked items for accuracy before proceeding to the next item or location.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain awareness of optimal picking routes and warehouse layout.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or stock issues to a supervisor.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and use appropriate PPE.
- Practice safe lifting techniques when handling products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Contribute to team goals and overall logistics efficiency.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting, with items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
