We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, manage stock rotation, and implement procedures to minimize loss and optimize inventory levels. Your expertise will be crucial for the efficiency of our Logistics operations. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to data accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and tracking of all goods. A strong emphasis is placed on warehouse Safety , and adherence to all safety regulations and the use of appropriate PPE is expected. While this role focuses on data and accuracy, some physical tasks may be involved, including some Lifting . - Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Safety and operational standards.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE .
