We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our facility in Richmond, Virginia. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory data within our system. This role is vital for effective logistics management, preventing stockouts, and minimizing discrepancies. You will work closely with the warehouse team to track incoming and outgoing shipments, reconcile inventory records, and investigate any variances. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of our inventory. This position may involve some lifting and requires the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A background in warehouse operations or inventory control is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Track and record inventory movements.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to assist with lifting when necessary.
