Are you an organized and analytical individual seeking a challenging role? Our New York City, New York facility is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist. This position is critical for maintaining the integrity of our stock and optimizing warehouse efficiency within our demanding logistics network. You will conduct thorough cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, implement corrective measures, and ensure precise record-keeping in our Warehouse Management System (WMS). The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of inventory control procedures. A dedication to safety and continuous improvement is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and perform physical inventory checks.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain real-time accuracy of inventory records within the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Uphold rigorous safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
- Generate comprehensive inventory reports for management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with lifting and moving inventory, with a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Solid knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Commitment to safety protocols and correct PPE usage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urban warehouse environment.
