Become a vital part of our operations as a Distribution Center Associate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! We're looking for dedicated individuals to perform a variety of tasks that keep our warehouse running smoothly. This role is foundational to our logistics network, involving receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. You'll work with a great team, contributing to efficient inventory management and order fulfillment. Safety is paramount in our distribution center; we require strict adherence to all safety procedures and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical capability, including frequent lifting, standing, walking, and bending.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Store inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders with precision and speed.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment as trained, adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in inventory control activities and assist with stock takes.
- Follow all logistics and operational procedures to ensure efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
