Responsibilities:
- Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials to optimize space and ensure accessibility.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory control by accurately moving and tracking materials.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support overall warehouse operations and collaborate with team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Good mechanical aptitude for basic equipment checks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
