Our Fort Worth, Texas warehouse is seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound logistics. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and customer expectations. Your duties will include preparing shipping documents, verifying order contents, applying proper labeling, and coordinating with shipping carriers. You will play a vital role in the supply chain, ensuring that products leave our facility in perfect condition and with all necessary documentation. A strong focus on detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. You will work closely with warehouse staff to streamline operations and contribute to our logistics success. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE are required.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and print shipping labels and packing slips accurately.
- Verify that picked items match order details before packaging.
- Prepare shipments for carriers, ensuring proper packaging and palletizing.
- Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments in the warehouse management system.
- Ensure the shipping area is organized, clean, and safe at all times.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping matters.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to perform occasional lifting up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Understanding of shipping carrier requirements and logistics procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
