Our Orlando, Florida distribution center is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. You will play a key part in optimizing our logistics operations by ensuring accurate stock data, which directly impacts order fulfillment and operational efficiency. A strong emphasis on safety is maintained; adherence to all company safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and safe handling practices, is mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics. You should be proficient in using inventory control tools and methods. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify and resolve inventory issues efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
