Are you a skilled Reach Truck Operator looking for a new opportunity in Detroit, Michigan? We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious individual to join our growing logistics team. In this role, you will operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory items. Your primary focus will be on efficiently and safely managing warehouse stock, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and contributing to the overall productivity of the warehouse. You will be responsible for maneuvering materials in various warehouse environments, including narrow aisles and high racking systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Identify and report damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse storage areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the reach truck.
- Assist with order picking and packing when needed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck with valid certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce them.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using appropriate PPE.
