Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing logistics operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for maintaining precise inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing stock management within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that our inventory is accurate, accessible, and efficiently managed, directly impacting our ability to serve our customers effectively. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor stock levels for accuracy, FIFO (First-In, First-Out) compliance, and potential damages.
  • Develop and implement improved inventory control procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all inventory items.
  • Assist in training new team members on inventory control best practices and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, as needed, following all safety protocols.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various warehouse conditions.
  • Familiarity with required PPE and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
