Bakery Floor Supervisor

Our Westboro Location (111 Richmond Rd) is looking for a Bakery Floor Supervisor. This position may require 5am start times during the week and weekend.

Duties and Responsibilities on top of regular baking tasks:

• Double checking all correct numbers of product were made and signing off on it
• Ensuring all custom orders are correct and packed up
• Helping organize holiday production
• Ensuring production lists get done in an efficient manner (ie organizing the day/shift and delegate tasks (eg dry & wet prep) effectively).
• Checking and maintaining product consistency (look, taste, weight)
• Prioritizing tasks for all staff on the floor to ensure everyone is working as efficiently as possible and that the production list and cleaning list get done in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all parts of the bakery are kept clean and safe to work in. (From floors to equipment).
• Knowing how to troubleshoot and problem solve when things go wrong in the bakery
• Ensure that staff conversation is kept work appropriate and that staff do not let conversation get in the way of productivity.
• Close the bakery at the end of the day and ensure closing duties are done in a timely manner
• Train new staff
• Keep an eye on the display case/freezer and ensuring it is as stocked and clean as possible. Delegate appropriately.
• Keeping ingredient bags & bins full and rotated properly
• Assist in serving customers when store gets busy or delegate accordingly
• Handle customer complaints and difficult questions if need be
• Answer phone calls.
• Assist Store Manager as needed or in their absence
• Ability to follow recipes and recreate the baked goods.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week
