Responsibilities:
- Retrieve specified items from warehouse inventory using order sheets or scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain accuracy in all picking activities to minimize errors.
- Keep picking areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other relevant equipment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including packing and shipping preparation.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and involves frequent bending, stooping, and reaching. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. A commitment to workplace safety and understanding the importance of proper PPE is essential. Previous order picking experience is an advantage. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are necessary. Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory systems is a plus. Reliability and punctuality are key attributes we seek.
