Join our exciting logistics operations in Seattle, Washington, as a Material Handler! In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement and management of materials within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. You will operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to ensure smooth and timely material flow. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical to maintaining inventory integrity and fulfilling orders correctly. This is a physically active position that requires adherence to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the application of proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries. You will be a vital part of our supply chain, contributing directly to our ability to serve our customers effectively. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks.
- Moving and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Picking and packing items for outgoing shipments.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and assisting with counts.
- Operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Following all safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Practicing correct lifting techniques to ensure personal safety.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and PPE.
