We are seeking a reliable Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a vital member of our logistics team, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our distribution center by performing a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. This role demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to Safety and quality. You will be responsible for ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to collaborate with team members is essential. This position involves physical activity, including regular Lifting and standing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying counts and quality.
- Put away stock accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders accurately using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, ensuring correct labeling.
- Load and unload trucks as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and report discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Must be comfortable with consistent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting, bending, and standing. A solid understanding of warehouse Safety practices is required. Familiarity with basic logistics processes is a plus. This role is critical to our supply chain operations.
