We are looking for a skilled and safety-oriented Forklift Operator to join our vibrant logistics team in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (including reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks) in a safe and proficient manner.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring goods are handled carefully and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety guidelines and protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all traffic management systems and designated pathways within the facility.
- Assist with other warehouse operations as needed, supporting overall logistics efficiency.
- Handle the safe Lifting and maneuvering of pallets and other materials.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Experience in the logistics sector is highly valued.
