We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment goods arrive. Your primary responsibility will be to verify the contents of incoming deliveries against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and accurately record received items into our inventory management system. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will work closely with our warehouse associates and management team to facilitate timely processing of all inbound freight. Compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify quantities and quality of goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received items for any damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received goods in the inventory management system.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed (training provided).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required.
- Understand and implement proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess good communication skills, and are eager to contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
