We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your efficiency and precision are crucial to maintaining the flow of goods within our warehouse. Adherence to all operational procedures, including rigorous use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires a strong focus on Safety, operational excellence, and teamwork to achieve departmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Move, stack, and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with order picking and replenishment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies, with emphasis on PPE usage.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with cycle counting.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure efficient workflow and Safety.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet operational demands in the logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Safety best practices and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
