We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team in our independent pharmacies. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients. This position requires expertise in various areas such as pediatrics, patient care, utilization review, and medical management. Hours possible between 2 locations.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Conduct patient assessments to identify medication-related issues and recommend appropriate interventions
- Perform medication utilization reviews to promote safe and cost-effective drug therapy
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Participate in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacy practice and medical management
- Provide immunizations
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical conditions
- Experience or completion of a pharmacy residency program preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active pharmacist license in PA
- Prior experience as a Staff Pharmacist is preferred but not required
