Join our San Antonio, Texas warehouse as a Material Handler and become an integral part of our efficient logistics operations. This position involves the physical movement and organization of materials within the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to ensure that materials are handled, stored, and transported safely and effectively. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments with care and accuracy.
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming inventory, ensuring it is properly documented.
- Transport materials to designated production or storage areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in an organized and safe manner.
- Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting and verifying stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Strictly follow all company safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices is mandatory. Experience within logistics and supply chain environments is advantageous. You must be reliable, detail-oriented, and have the ability to work in a physically demanding setting. Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment and possess good communication skills. Must be committed to maintaining a safe workplace and adhering to all PPE requirements. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, is expected.
