We are seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida. This role is essential for the efficient movement and handling of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to transport, stack, and retrieve materials accurately and safely. You will also contribute to overall warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and company policies. A strong commitment to safe practices and an understanding of warehouse logistics are vital.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Stack and organize products in a stable and accessible manner.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks of forklifts and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and shipping functions as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning equipment and data entry.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE, and adhere to established warehouse logistics procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Contribute to team efforts by performing other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse setting is required.
- Valid forklift certification is essential.
- Knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures and warehouse safety best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to safety and the consistent use of required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable and punctual attendance record.
